About Sylvia

I own & operate a skin care business in Grosse Pointe, where I've been established for over a decade. I LOVE what I do; having a conversation away from the noise & stress of the world. I love the silence as it sings with peace & renewal. I love that, if allowed, this can be achieved in 15 minutes or can soar as high as allowed in 1 1/2 hours. I love the tranquility that Serenity Skin Care of Grosse Pointe has to offer those willing to put themselves first. Come visit me.

Baby Steps

toddleHow many times have you heard &/or used the term, “Baby Steps”? Too many to count, I’m sure. What is the term saying? It tells us that when we were babys, we were held by our parents. Then, we learned to crawl, to stumble about waddling and before anyone knew it, we were running on our own with parents chasing to corral us!

Two words! How perfect is the image that two simple words are able to conjure such a monumental task. It’s a perfect description of the daunting task I set before myself: The creation of this website/blog. I started it almost two years ago coming close to quitting toddle1before I began. But I love a good puzzle (I’m tenacious) and I’ve learned to let sleeping dogs lie when necessary.

This past week, I courageously took a dive into the “back-end” of this site and I learned how to fit a few more pieces of the jigsaw. I’ve added an official Home page, updated About Me and finally created a decent Contacts page complete with a google map! I’m really excited about a page called “Ask a Question”. I’ve put together a form you can complete, asking a skin care question that will be sent to me directly. In return, I’ll respond within 24 hours (even if it’s to say more research is required). I’m excited for you to take advantage of this free service.

I have more things in store for the future here and I’m looking forward to learning and implementing my skills. Also, know that I’m in the midst of re-learning some basic Histology (the study of skin) through an on-line program of an organization I belong to.

Thank you for bearing with my inconsistency as I take my baby steps through the maze of implementing the blog of my dreams
